TONN Recordings

Prompted by its commitment to the development of electronic music, TONN Recordings has begun to produce its own electronic hardware. Its first prototype, the TONN ‘GOSE’, is a compact Generator Oscillator Sound Engine, designed by Crystalline Stricture. The TONN GOSE is ideal for the production of electronic audio in the form of random drones, continual sound and machine-like pulsing. It’s power is in the experimentation.

TONN GOSE Technical Details:

12v DC power supply with tip positive will work with this. The connection required is a 2.1mm barrel jack. A 9v will also work, but would result in a lower pitch range.

OPERATION

Controls:

Sound engine basic generator

FREQ A & B dual oscillator, a tune control.

OSC1 switch adds FREQ A to the output.

RAMP Adds oscillator sweep.

Vactrol V-BOOST for added effect.

L for effect 1

R for effect 2

N for off

PHASE + AND – Affect Vactrol curve. Phase + also affects the range of the filter.

INTENSITY control for L & R.

MOMENTARY button will introduce set effect while button is pressed.

Red LED lights when vactrol is in effect.

Output:

NOISE switch adds a transistorised modulation to the signal.

FILTER gives a classic cut off effect.
